Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Albertha Loftin, of this city; one son, Mr. Albert Jones Jr., of Gary, Indiana; three step-daughters, Mrs. Christine baker and Mrs. Brenda Wynn, both of Petersburg, Va. and Mrs. Raye Smith, of Hampton, Va; one step-son, Mr. John Evans Jr. of Petersburg, Va; one grandchild; two greatgrandchildren, and other relatives and friends. He was a native of this city and a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church. He was owner of McKnight Produce Co. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. D^bra L. Greenfield; four sons, Mr. Marion N. Lockhart Jr., Mr. Felton Lockhart, and Mr. Leonard Lockhart of this city, and Mr. Arcis Lockhart, of Durham, N.C.; five sisters, Mrs. Willie Johnson and Mrs. Alice Ledbetter, both of this cir ty and Mrs. Luella Dunlap, Mrs. Creola Cooper, and Mrs. Ruth L. Mrs. Viola Beatrix Hairston Williams Mrs. Viola Beatrix Hairston Williams died Dec. 30, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was a graduate of KittrelkCollege,. Clark University and Bethune Cookman College. She * was-a faithful member of Williams Temple C.M.C. Church where she served as director of Senior Choir and on the Missonary Boarcf and as Chairperson.She retired from Philadelphia-Anti-Proverty-Action-Commission and Jane D. Kent School. She attended the public schools and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, was a faithful member of Cleveland Avenue Christian Church.Funeral service were conducted Jan 9, at 4:00 p.m. at Cleveland Avenue Christian Church, with Rev. James O. Williams officiating. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Inez H. Bums of Baltimore; husband, Mr. Robert Davis of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Campbell and Mrs. Carrie Wilkes both of the city; a brother, Mr. Charles T. Martin of the city; one foster granddaughter; one sister-in-law; one _ brother-in-law; two nieces, one nephew, and other relatives and friends.
