Brown & Sons Funeral Home in charge of ser vices. gr, Alonzo Coley Boseman yg Alonzo Coley Boseman, of 111 North Jackson Ave., died Jan- 13 al residence. His body remained at Clark S Brown & Sons Funeral Home. He was a native of Newberry, S.C. and has lived in this city for the past 60 was a faithful member of new Bethel Baptist Church and was a Veteran of World War 11. Surviving relatives are one cousin, Mr. Julis Davis of Stanleyville, N.C.; two aunts, Mrs. Bessie Bobo of Newberry, S.C. and Mrs. Myrtle Peen of Baltimore, Md. and several other relatives and friends. Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral in charge of services. I4r. Eulie Alexander Mr. Eulie Alexander, of Charlotte, N.C. died Jan. 14, at his residence. Surviving relatives are one sister, Mrs. Mary Withers poon of this city; two nieces, Mrs. Ruth Hairston and Mrs. Doris Clark both of this city and other friends and relatives. Funeral services and burial were held Jan. 19, at 3:00 p m. in Charlotte, N.C. Alexander Funeral Home were in charge of services. This is a courtesy of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Mary Louise Couthrell Anderson Mrs. Mary Louise Couthrell Anderson, of 1137 E. 23rd St., died Jan. 21st at Lamb’s Nursing Home in High Point, N.C. She was a native of Davie County and had lived here for the past 65 years, was a faithful member of House of Prayer Church and was a former employee of Export Leaf Tobacco Co. Surviving relatives are one daughter, Ms. Thelma N. Cuthrell of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Everlee Davis of Statesville,N.C. and Mrs. Dora L. Allison of Mocksville, N.C.; four brothers, Jesse Lyons of Mocksville, N.C., John Lyons of this city, Gaston Lyons of Statesville, N.C., Robert Cuthrell of Mt. Gilead, N.C.; one uncle and other relatives and friends. The body remains are at Johnson’s Home of Memory pending the completion of funeral and burial ar rangements. Johnson’s Home of Memory is in charge of all services and arrangements. Mr. Paul Franklin Young Sr. Mr. Paul Franklin Young Sr., of 820 Cameron Ave., died Jan. 22 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Winston-Salem, N.C. and resided in Newport News, Va. for the past years, was employed at the Ship Yard, and operated Young’s Oil Company in Winston- Salem. He was a faithful member of Cleveland Ave. Christian Church. , Surviving relatives are one son, Paul Young Jr. of the home; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Verbena Young of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Fallie Foster of the city and Mrs. Alma Woodruff of Coolemee, N.C.; three brothers, John Young, Ellic Young of Thomasville, N.C. and Carl Young of Lexington, N.C. and other relatives and friends. Mr. James Bristol Rush Mr. James Bristol Rush, died Jan 12 at the Veterans Hospital in Durham, N.C. His remains were removed to Brown’s Funeral Home in Greensboro, N.C. He was a native of Newport News, Va. but resided in Windsor where he attended Storer College, former government employee and instructor with Adult Ed. Program for ten years and was a World War II Veteran. Surviving relatives are his mother, Mrs. Greta Rush of this city; two sons, Mr. James Rush H and Mr. Michael Rush both of Philadelphia, Pa.; one brother Mr. Donald Rush of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Hanna of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Miriam Brown, Ms. Joyce Rush of Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Ouida R. Scarborough of Greensboro, N.C., three grandsons, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Jan. 16 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The body remained in Brown’s Funeral Home in Greensboro, NC until 3:00 p.m. at which time it was placed in state in the church un til the funeral hour. The family did assemble and leave from the home at 3:30 p.m. enroute to the church. Inter ment followed in Bertie Co. Cemetery. Brownes Funeral Home in charge of services. . Bernice Allison Pettigrew Mrs. Bernice Allison Pettigrew, of 1215 E. 10th St., Apt C, died Jan. 21st, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Yadkinville, N.C. Surviving relatives are four daughters, Mrs. Clara Robinson, Miss Ida Pettigrew, Miss. Shirley Pettigrew, and Miss.
