Surviving relatives are one son, Mr. Donald L. Benson w
of the home; her father, Mr. Sherman Hauser of this city; ^

Dr. Harold L. Hauser; one daughter-in-law; one sisterin-law;
one granddaughter, several other relatives and ^

Mr. Louis Hall Smith . Mr.
Louis Hall Smith, of 1303 Mumrord St., died
April 2nd, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital after an extended
period of illness. He was a native of Anson Cpunty,
but had lived in this city several years.
He was a member of Chilson Grove Baptist Church in
Lylesville, and a retired employee of W.R. Bonsai Company.
Surviving relatives are two daughters, Mrs. Queen
Ester Bradley and Mrs. Jeretha Love both of this city;
fourteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren other
relatives and friends.
Arrangements entrusted to and services will be conducted
by Gilmore Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie B. Barrett, of 1853
Kentucky Ave., will conducted at 1:00 pm from Pleasant
Union Primitive Baptist Church where Elder Victor
Clark will officiate with interment in the Evergreen
Cemetery. . u'
The body will remain at Gilmore's until 12:00 at which
time it will be taken to the Church until the funeral hour.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alberta Y. Lindsay, Rt. 9,
Box 493 Winston-Salem, Midway Community will be
conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. from the Righteous Church
of God, where Bishop Andrew Williferd will officiate
with interment in the family plot of the Church
Cemetery.
The body will remain at Gilmore's until the funeral
hour. The family* will receive friends this evening at
Gilmore's from 7 until 8 pm.
Arrangements entrusted to and services will be conducted

Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Frances Vance, of 819
Isley St., Fayetteville, NC, will be conducted Sunday at 1
pm from the First Baptist Church, Fayetteville, N.C.
where Rev. C.R. Edwards will officiate with interment in
' the North Side Cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening at the
Wiseman Funeral Home, Fayetteville, N.C. from 7 until

Mr. James Arthur Montgomery
Mr. James Arthur Montgomery, of 1207 Peachtree St.,
died May 2nd at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was a
native of this city and a member and Past Master of
Olympic Lodge no. 795, King Solomon's Consistorv no.
64, Scthos Temple no 170, American Legion Post no 220,
a Veteran of World War II and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Montgomery;
two daughters, Ms. Terri Montgomery and
Mrs. Nadene Clements; one brother, Mr. Odell Williams,
of Baltimore, Md; two step-sons, Mr. Anthony Cates and
Mr. Everette Cates; one grandson and other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted May 5th at 2:00 pm in
the Chapel of Hooper Funeral Home with Dr. W'arnie C.
Hay officiating. Interment followed in the Evergreen
Cemetery.

Mrs. Mae Lee Brown
Mrs. Mae Lee Brown, of 1612 Derry St., died May 2nd
at the Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was a native of
Darlington, SC, and had lived in this city for the past
seventy-one years. She was a faithful member of Jehova
Witnesses and a retired Beautician.
Survi\Nng relatives are one sister, Mrs. Edith Robinson,
of Batesburg, S.C.; one foster son, of Brooklyn,
N.Y.; one foster daughter, of Detroit, Mi.; two nephews,
one niece and other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted May 6th at 3:00 pm in
the Chapel of the Hooper Funeral Home, with Joseph L. L
