Page C2-The Chronicle, Thursday, June 7, 1984 Poetry Corner By Jane Penn "Introspection" The day is coming to a close, and so another year. 7 , Our goals and expectations are now really quite clear. Although it didn't seem that way when you and 1 first met 'We both waged private wars, you know, but 1 just wanted your best. Now, finally the time has come to go our separate ways, Thank you for being mine this year, I just hope someday you'll say, "She wasn't so bad after all, fo^she cared in little ways." ? " "Alienated Love" An indwelling feeling of alienated love, has taken residence in my soul. 1 long for your love and affection, to make me feel completely whole. How thrilling and wonderful it would be to know you loved only me. 1 would become a soul completely dominated by the sole purpose of living for only thee. What a priceless privilege it would be, my love, to feel your warm arms of protection and be assured of unwavering love. Yet, an indwelling feeling of alienated love has taken residence in my soul. 1 long for your love and affection to make me feel complete and whole. A remarkable change of attitude and outlook on life 1 would have, ? if-you could assure me,-this feeling of alienation would soon pass. Ann Dubose Little T? "Forgiveness" God gave unto me forgiveness, only after 1 had forgiven others. Then I was ready to receive what God had for me. Jayne Penne Send your poems to "Poetry Corner," P.O.
