Topics Mrs. Banner discussed included: making sure to use extremely clean clay pots to display plants at the fair: the importance of not using anything artificial for making plants shine. Instead, she suggested rubbing the plants with the fingertips to get a gloss and removing all dead leaves and stems to make the plants more attractive for showing; rotating full plants in order for them to get adequate sunlight; put only one specimen in a display bottle or jar and to be sure the flowers meet the height requirements; Mrs. Banner, a retired art teacher from the city-county school system, demonstrated and displayed a variety of flower arrangements before ending the ? worxsnop. ?
