The theme of this year's homecoming celebration is "Horizons '84." One of its highlights will be a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday night in the Kenneth R. Williams Auditorium featuring Evelyn "Champagne" King. On Friday, which is dubbed "Red and White Day," the activities will start with the Founder's Day program. Dr. Kenneth R. They include: Florence Butler, Mrs. Gloria Goore, Mrs. Wilma Lassiter, Charles Parker, Carrie Robinson, Andrew Terrell and Mrs. Bessie White. Joseph O. Lowery, a member of the Class of 1938, will receive the Simon Green Atkins Award as a Distinguished Alumnus for 1984-85. The program will also include uiv pi?ciuauuu ui inc 14ICSI work in the university's Sculpture Garden, "Garden Ruins," by Beverly Buchanon. Other activities include the Red and White Day Mini-Parade.' Dr. Joseph is a graduate of the class of 1974 and is a resident of Richmond, Va. Activities will start early Saturday morning with a Pre-Dawn Party sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at the 40 Grand Club at 28th Street and Indiana Avenue. After the party, if you're still awake, you can attend the homecoming parade that will begin in front of the old Sears building, located at Fourth and Broad streets. The parade will proceed down Fourth Street, ending at Linden Street. The best viewing areas are Fourth and Broad or Spruce and Marshall streets. Coming off a trouncing of the Livingstone Bears, 45-13 last week, the Rams will be hoping to up their record to 5-1. This will be the first time the homecoming game will be held at night. Usually, the game is held immediately after the parade.
