The groom is the son of Mary Crosby of Winston-Salem, Elder Hilton Stone Jr. of ficiated. The bride was given in mar riage by ber brother, Lynn Parker. Lydia Seemion of Jacksonville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Serving as maids were Sharon France and Debbie Pat terson, sisters of the bride, both of Winston-Salem. Bridesmaids were Tonya Parker, sister of the bride of Winston-Salem; Gay Scales, of Greensboro; and Carolyn Watl- ington, Felicia Gore and Cynthia Gore, all of Winston-Salem. Children attendants were LaKesha Crosby and Toya Bowman. Serving as best man was Tremis Johnson of Winston- Salem. Ushers were Anthony Bowman, James Turner, brother- in-law of the bride; Fredrick King, Reginald Eaton, Michael Hairston and Wayne Rory, all of Winston-Salem. Children attendants were Lorenzo France, Wiley Ellis and Torrey Bowman, all of Winston- Salem. The bride is a graduate of R. J. Reynolds Senior High School and works for New Market Grille. The groom is a graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School and at tended Rutledge College. The couple will live in Winston-Salem. Barber-McCloud Michilene D, Barber and Booker T. McCloud III were married Saturday in a 3 p.m. ceremony at St. Stephen Baptist Church. Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Andy Barber. Parents of the groom are Mr, and Mrs. Booker T. McCloud Jr. The Rev, Zavious B, Pratt of ficiated. The bride was given in mar riage by her father. Serving as maid of honor was Michelle D. Barber, of Winston- Salem. Bridesmaids were Tricia Meadows, Carmen Barber, Julia Meadows, Lisa Pratt and Shantell Pratt, nieces of the bride, all of Winston-Salem. Serving his cousin as best man was Selwyn T. Tabor, of Statesville. Ushers were Dedric Barber, Clinton Barber, nephews of the bride; Tyrone Benton, Richard Wilkins and Andy Barber Jr., brother of the bride and all of Winston-Salem. The bride is a graduate of Reynolds Senior High School and is employed at Arby’s of Winston-Salem. The groom is a graduate of North Forsyth High School and is employed with Robinson Lumber Co. The couple will live in Winston-Salem. Beauticians present annual tea The Winston-Salem Beautician and Cosmetologist Association presents its annual international tea and baby contest on Sunday, June 19, at 5:30 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, located at 1016 N. Trade St. Dr. Jerry Drayton, host pastor, will give the invocation and benediction. Other participants included the Rev. Alphonso Quick and John Heath, soloists. Louise Smith will show slides from different coun tries. Northeast Ward Alderman Vivian Burke will narrate the pro gram. Louisa Foy is music coor dinator. Places featured in the slide presentation include Russia, Japan, Hawaii, Africa, France, Mexico, China, South America, Greece, Israel and the United States. Foods, costumes and color schemes representative of dif ferent countries will be shown. Judges for the program are 1 V' Vivian Burke Mamie White, Susie Drayton, Pauline Jackson and Cheryl Frazier. Virginia Stewart is program chairman and Thelma Steen is local president. Military Notes Carter finishes doss Marine Pfc. Michael Carter, son of Gertrude J. C. and 5204 Smith C Carter Sr., of Oakridge Court recently com pleted the Infantry Combat Training^Course at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, Calif. During the six-week course. m- Carter received classroom struction and field work involv ing infantry tactics and the use of intra-company communications equipment. Michael C.
