honored 11 young ladies at its
29th annual Cinderella Ball, held
on Saturday, June 1, at the
Sawtooth Center for Visual
Design at Winston Square.
LaTeesha D. Scott, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Louis S. Scott,
was crowned “Miss Cinderella
1985.” She was crowned by the
retiring queen Orlesia Burton,
“Miss Cinderella 1984.”
Scott was escorted by Marcus
Poindexter, son of Mr. and Mrs.
John Poindexter. She was spon
sored by Mrs. Eva Jeffries.
Ann M. Cowan, the grand
daughter of Mrs. Lucile B.
Barksdale, was the first runner-
up. She was escorted by Lowell
