University \ The local chapter of the National Association of University Women gathered in the Red Room at Winston-Salem State University to celebrate its 76th Founders Day on Saturday, WSSU hosts coopera A luncheon was held Monday at Winston-Salem State University to present awards to this year's cooperative education honorees. Both work in the Office of State Personnel Double dutch fever 1 More than 25 teams have begun practice for the Third Annual Double Dutch Tournament, which will be held in WinstonSalem at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, at the Hanes Hosiery Recreation Center. The teams will be jumping rope at recreations centers, playgrounds and girls* clubs to get ready for the big tournament. The Forsyth County Double Dutch Tournament is a member of the American Double Dutch League and is sponsored by the Tarheel Triad Girl Scout Council of Colfax. The event will be co-sponsored by the Winston-Salem Parks and Recreation Center, McDonald's of Forsyth County, Hardee's of Akron Drive and Pizza Hut. Double dutch evolved from an ? Kiwanis to join local Members of the Greater Winston Kiwanis Club will participate in the national KIDS Safety Week this weekend by volunteering to help fingerprint children at the East Winston Shopping Center. KIPS is an acronym for Kids Identification Sign-UP and is sponsored nationally by the International Council of Shopping Centers. Free fingerprinting services wfll be provided for children 3 to 14 years of age and copies of the fingerprints will be given to parents and guardians. They may be used as positive identification when a child is missing.
