and welcome. The Zeta Chorus rendered its ver sion of "That's What Sorors Are For." Invocation and Grace were given by Amicae Evalena CI y born. Following the dinner, a cast of 14 members of Rho Zeta presented a skit, written by Soror Pollye Bailey and her committee, that reenacted Rho Zeta's initial chartering in December, 1935. Soror Gwendolyn Ashley then presented Soror Emily C. Harper, Basileus of the Rho Zeta Chapter, who made the following awards: a Cer tificate of Award to Soror Augusta White of the Salisbury chapter for 45 years of service at the state level in the field of Education and her ser vice as Regional Officer of the SororityTthe Rho Zeta Soror of the Year Award to Soror Gladys S. Morrison (posthumously), the award was accept ed by her husband Percy Morrison; the Family of the Year Award to Edwin and Marian Hairston, ' Rf10 Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorori ty Inc., joined by Omega Chapter of Winston - &a^cm. The celebration ended with the singing of the Sorori ty Hymn led by Soror Cheryl B. Super. Soror Emily C. Harp er is Basileus of Rho Zeta. Soror Alice Smith is sponsor of the Rho Zeta Amicae, and Soror Machaell Parker is the Basileus of Omega Chapter. Genealogy classes to start Mary Browning, of the Guil ford County Genealogical Soci ety, will teach a three-part intro ductory genealogy class. These classes will be held at the High Point Museum on three consecu tive Saturdays, April 6, 13, & 20, from 9:30 ? Noon. The cost is $14 for Historical Society mem bers and $16 for non-members. Since class size is limited, pre registration is required. (The fee is for all three classes.) Participants will learn to trace family history through working with sample documents such fs property deeds, church records, wills, court records, and bills of sale.
