Area Deaths Continued from page B10 MRS VIOLA BELK DILLARD . Mrs. Viola Belk Dillard died Sunday, Mar. 31, 1991, at the Pellcare Nursing Facility. She was a native of Lancaster County, S.C. and had lived in Winston-Salem for 75 years. She was a retired employee of Kimberly School as a custodial worker. She was a member of Cleveland Ave. Christian Church and was also a member of the Underwood Ave. Flower Club. Mrs. Dillard is survived by one son, Mr. David Dillard Jr. of the city; one daughter-in-law; three grandchildren; two nieces; and several other rela tives. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Apr. 3, at 12 noon at Cleveland Ave. Christian Church. The Rev. Sheldon McCarter officiated, and burial fol low edTn^Evergreeii Cem^ * MRS. ANNA DRUCILLA FORD Mrs. Anna Drucilla Ford died Sunday, Mar. 31, 1991, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Wine Oak, W. Va. and had lived in Winston Salem for 65 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Dillard is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dona (Clarence) Shell of the home, and Mrs. Drucil la (Douglas) Morgan of the city; one son* Mr. Xavier Ford of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Mrs;. Eula Harris and Mrs. Uldene Stratton of Bluefield, W.Va.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Apr. 4, at 12 noon at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. William T. Parson officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery. KATHERINE ARMSTRONG GLENN Mrs. Katherine Armstrong Glenn died Sunday, Mar. 31, 1991, at the Brian Center Health Retirement Home. She was a native of Yadkin County and had lived in Winston-Salem for the last 34 years. She was a member of Gethsemane Hope Baptist Church where she served on the churchlchoir and the_Misr _ sionary Society. She was a member of the 23rd St. Orchard Garden Club. Mrs. Glenn is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nell (Radford) Mann of Walkertown, Ms. Earline Glenn and Mrs. Mary Glenn Wall, both of the city; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Miller, Ms. Laura Arm strong, both of the city, and Mrs. Eva Matlock of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 3, at 4 p.m. at Gethsemane Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ernest McLaurin officiating. Burial fol lowed in the Benbow Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, East Bend. 19th anniversary celebration set for pastor of Carver Road Christian Carver Road Christian ebrate the 19th anniversary of Church, 3200 Carver Rd., will eel- their pastor, Brother Willie N. Jones. Jones is a native of -Goldsboro. Prior to coming ? to Carver Road Christian Church, he was pastor of Philippi Chris tian Church in Louisa, Vir ginia for 17 years; Lewis Street Chris tian Church in Roanoke Rapids for 2 years; and Ml Olive Chris tian Church in Concord for 2 years. Brother Willie N. Jones He is a graduate of Winston-Salem Bible College. Services will be held through Apr. 7. On Wednesday, Apr. 3, the guest speaker was H.L. Hodge,? pastor of New Hope Baptist Church. On Thursday, Apr. 4, the - speaker will be Sam Hickerson of New Light Baptist Church. Friday night will be a "Roast and Toast" service. # ^ Services will be nightly at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, Apr. 7., at 11 a.m., Edward Simmons, pastor of Shady grove Christian Church in Eden will speak.
