On Thursday, February 25, the Boy's
Club and the William C. Sims Recreation
Center presented a for 10-to-12 year-old
basketball Tournament at the Sims Recre
ation Center. With the motto, "Education
First and Athletics second", the Lakers
defeated the Bulls 63-60 in overtime.
The Lakers were led by Tyrone Davis
with 25 points. Travis Williams , scored four
points, Vincent Cameron, 17.
Jonathan Scott scored 25 points for the
Bulls.
In the second game the Sixers defeated
the Blazers 36-30.
Mike Watson scored 30 points, leading
the Sixers to the victory.
Terry Brown hit 13 points for the Blaz
ers.
In the third game, Martin Luther King
defeated the Sixers 43-34.
Clifford Crawford was the leading scor
er for Martin Luther King with 20 points.
Mike Watson scored 17 points for the

Jonathan Scott scored 1 6 points.
Piedmont's 10-to-12 year-old team won
by forfeit over the Lakers.

Tournament, with the Junior Hawks
taking second place.
