Natalie Godwin has recently
joined WXII as weekend assignment
editor and weekday associate pro
ducer for the news department
She recently held the position of
assignment editor/writer at WRAL
TV in Raleigh. Godwin also served
as associate producer for the week
end news and anchored hourly news
cut-ins.

School of the Arts (NCSA) will
open its studios and classrooms -

ston-Salem and the Piedmont Triad
for Community Day. From 1 1 a.m.
to 3 p.m., rain or shine, NCSA will
do what it does best: perform!
A grand show is in store for the
whole family, as an array of festivi
ties food^frolic and fun is planned
for the entire day. You can swing
with a jazz band, watch a high-spir
ited Italian farce, appreciate the
nuances of a student art exhibit,
experience the classic beauty of a
ballet class, or relax to the ethereal
sounds of a chamber music ensem
ble . . . and that's just for starters.
Clowns, mimes, jugglers and
other "creatures" might just pop up
all over campus to the delight of
young and old alike. Face-painting,
sidewalk chalk -drawing and sword
fighting.
Visitors interested in finding
out what really goes on behind the
scenes of this one-of-a-kind arts
school should m&ke plans now to
explore the NCSA campus, located
at 200 Waughtown St., on April 24!
Food vendors (offering hot dogs to
icc cream) and information booths
will be placed throughout the area.
