Bet you've never seen a bench made from
plastic milk jugs or a sign post made from
plastic waste from disposable diapers!
Well, you can see all kinds of recycled prod
ucts in use and on display at SciWorks
Environmental Park. Products made from
recycled materials are popping up at such a
rapid pace, it's hard to keep up with what's
new and different. So, the RECYCLE TODAY
program, Keep Winston-Salem Beautiful and
SciWorks have all joined together to create a
display of "new from old" products, show
cased in a natural setting.
In and among the wildflowers and critters, you
will see:
? plastic benches, a compost bin and
a bird house made from recycled
plastic bottles
? trash cans made from recycled steel cans
? a sign made from recycled aluminum
cans
? a sign post made from plastic waste
from disposable diaper manufacturing
Come by SciWorks, 400 Hanes Mill Road,
and discover what happens when tech
nology and trash come together! You
can call SciWorks at 767-6730.
