Dudley Helps Build Youths' Self-Esteem Continuing its tradition of com munity involvement and concern for children, Dudley Hair Products will present the workshop "Hair and Skin Care of African-American Children" at the National Confer ence "Adoptive Families Together" to be held at the Ben ion Convention Center on June 26. Shirley Harris, an adoption worker with the Guilford County Department of Social Services , will also participate in the workshop, which will assist families in helping their African-American children take pride in their appearance and identity. Harris is also a member of the Guilford County Black Adop tion Tfcsk Force. Dudley representatives will demonstrate a variety of techniques and products to iise to help African American children look and feel their best They will assist parents in learning how to effectively use the techniques and products with their children, which is one part of the work in helping children build a positive sense of self-esteem and pride in themselves. The workshop will be one of a number of conference panels and workshops providing practical information to adoptive families and professionals who work with them. Other workshops will present valu able information for families con sidering adoption or waiting for children. An exhibit at the convention center will have displays describing children waiting for adoption in North Carolina and across the coun try. Several international adoption programs will also have pho tographs and descriptions of waiting children. There will be free information for distribution as well as vendors with a variety of toys,
