Men's Track St. Aug wins 131h_Slraight Title When it comes to men*s track and field, at least in the CIAA, everyone seems to be running for second place. So that St. Augustine's won the CIAA conference title in Hampton is no surprise. St Augustine's has won 13 straight CIAA titles, with this one coming on Hampton's Armstrong Field. - Sl Augustine's blew away the field, finishing with 339 points. Somewhere in the Falcons* rear-view mirror was second place Hampton with 59 points. Thai difference, so you won't have to add it up at home, was an amazing 200 points. The big gun for St Aug's, if you real ly have to find one, is Randall Evans. Evans was named meet MVP in the run ning events after winning tftfcvlOO (10.3 seconds) and 200 meters (20.69). Evans also ran a leg of St Aug's winning 400 meter felay. The field events MVP also came from ? surprise ? Sl Aug's. Bumice Cross won the shot put and the discus events at the meet In the women's championships, Nor folk State kept St Augustine's from win ning two titles. The Spartans finished with 187.5 points to win. St Aug's finished with |41 for sec ond. Hampton was third with 91.5 points. Norfolk's Karen Sinclair was named MVP of the ninning events. Sinclair won the 1,500 meters (4:53.0) and the 800 (17.6) as weU as run ning a leg of the Spartans second-place 1,600-meter relay team. V Keonya Harris of Hampton and Nor folk's Angela Williams tied for the field events MVP award. ? LANGSTON WERTZ JR. Edney from page 4 Prairie View. Robert "Bob** Lee came to Southern, former head coach of Southern basketball, baseball, football and golf teams, and its former athletic director in 41 years at the school. TEXAS SOUTHERN The late Edward H. Adams, whose T5U basketball teams won 284 games and lost just 54 in his 10 years as head coach. Stanley V.
