Body Builder Accused of Killing Girlfriend
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) ? To
their friends and aquaintances at the
World Gym in San Francisco, Gor
don Kimbrough and his fiancee,
Kristy Ramsey, had it all. They
were champion body builders
embarking on successful careers as
personal fitness trainers and they
planned to be married in the Call.
All that came 10 an end June 20
when Kimbrough, 31, allegedly
stabbed and strangled Ramsey, 25,
to death. He apparently was angry
that she planned to break off their
engagement after what police said
was a stormy and often violent rela
tionship.
Kimbrough was at San Fran
cisco General Hospital June 23
recovering from a self-inflicted
syringe wound to his neck. He was
arraigned last Thursday on one
count of murder, San Francisco

said He did not enter a plea, saying
he would do so after hiring a
lawyer.
Officers arrested Kimbrough
June 21 after an how-long standoff
over Ramsey's body, during which
he threatened to slash his own throat
with a butcher knife, Bergstrom

body builder held police at bay for
more than an hour until an off-duty
officer who works out at the same
gym talked him into surrendering,
Bergstrom said.
According to published reports,
Kimbrough has been linked to a
steroid ring. His name has come up
in connection with the case of a fel
low bodybuilder, Pax ton Beale, who
was arrested June 22 and pleaded
innocent a day later on charges of
running an illegal anabolic steroid
prescription scheme, a spokes
woman for Beale said.

Man's Penis Cut off while
Asleep; Wife Arrested
MANASSAS, Va. (AP)? A 24
year-old woman was charged with
malicious wounding after allegedly
cutting off her husband's penis while
he slept, police said.
Prince William County police
spokeswoman Kim Chinn said the
woman told police that her husband,
26, had repeatedly raped her over
time Mid forced her to have sex last

When her husband fell asleep
afterward, the woman got a knife and
severed his penis in one stroke, she

allegation. Neither subject was
named by police, since they both
claimed to be victims of 9ex crimes.
