Youths from the city competed In* recent swim meet sponsored by the recreation and parks department City Recreation Dept. Holds Swim Meet The Winston Salem Recreation and Parts Department recently held a swim meet at the Bolton park pool. . the results, according to recre ation pools total points were: Meet #1: 1st place Polo, 223 points; 2nd place, Bolton, 140 points; and 3rd place, Parkland, 97 points. For Meet #2: 1st place, Mineral Springs, 129 points; 2nd place, Sprague, 91 points; 3rd place, Blum, 72 points; and 4th place, Kimberly Park, 40 points. Results from competition between Polo, Parkland and Bolton Pools were as follows: Polo finished first in the med ley relay, 10 and under girls with Bolton taking second place. In the 10 and under boys med ley relay Polo took first and Bolton finished second. Polo finished first in the 11-12 boys medley relay and Parkland took second place. In the 13-14 Medley girls relay Polo finished first with Bolton tak ing second. Polo finished first in the 13-14 boys medley relay with parkland taking second, and Polo took first place in the 15-17 girls medley relay. In the 15-17 boys medley relay Polo finished first and Bolton took second place. Rebecca Adams, of Bolton fin ished first in the girls eight and under back stroke; Shaun, Bolton took first in the boys. In the 9-10 girls and boys back stroke Jaclyn Gamberini took first place and Sara Barker finished in second place. In the boys John Mal lard finished second and Mike Viktoeth took first Becky Huffs finished first and Miranda Mason took second in the 11-12 girls back stroke. Jon Laven der took first place and Daniel Adams second in the same event Thirteen- 14 year-old back stroke first place Christie and sec ond Emily Anderson. Jamie Koon finished second and Chris Nagele took first in the same event * Fifteen- 17 year-old back stroke, Jennifer Teague took first and Angie Somers finished second Brian Dees finished first and Chris Marshal took second. Eight and under breast stroke, Lavren Anderson placed first and Kathryn Michaels took second. Mark Thossesion took first place in the same event In the 9-10 breast stroke Trisha Bruner finished in first place and Beth Hiatt took second. Steven S lat ter finished first and Ben Anderson took second. Competing in the 11-12 breast stroke Amy Gregory finished first with Kristen McNeely took second. Brandon Thomas took first and Sean Lindsey finished second. In the 13-14 breast stroke Maria Weizs finished first and Amaris Deli Santi took. second. Mike Liner finished first and Matt Hendrick took second. Competing in the 15-17 breast stroke Angie Somers took first and Whitney Mann finished second. Nathan Holtzclaw took first and Clay Vinger finished second. Butterfly, eight and under, Kate Urbowicz took first place.
