Business Chamber's Piedmont Triad Data Center Names New Manager Tyrone L. Stevens has been named Data Center Manager of the Piedmont Triad Partnership's Data Center, located within the Greater Winston-Salem Chamber of Com merce. The Triad Data Center serves the economic development profes sionals in the 11 -county Piedmont Triad region. People connected with the system can get information such . as retail sales, building permits, new and expanded businesses, and popu lation on from one to all 11 counties by simply dialing in through a modem. The center is governed by a steering committee made up of 12 officials representative o the 1 1 county area and the Partnership * Board. Stevens will work closely with the Piedmont Triad Partnership's agents from the Economic Develop ers Advisory Council (ED AC). He will be responsible for maintaining on-line database files, including - updating information, creating new files and inputting data as EDAC members request changes. He will also be responsible for coordinating with the Piedmont Triad Partner ship's marketing efforts. Stevens recently graduated from Winston-Salem State Univer sity with a bachelor of science degree in management information systems. He also attended Joliet Jr. College in Joliet, 111. While at WSSU, Stevens was a member of the North Carolina Tarheel Student Chapter of the Data Processing Management Association and received a merit award from. the association for his contributions to the student chapter. Caldwell joined Wachovia in Winston-Salem in 1990 as a conver sion analyst for the Student Finan cial Services Division and assumed his current position as proof super visor at Wachovia Operations in Raleigh in 1992.
