Family Shares Kindred Spirit during Reunion The descendants and friends of Bethania Hauser Williams Russell held their three-day family reunion July 23-25. Reunion events were held at the Winston Lake Golf Course, Tangle wood Park, Yadkinville Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, in the West Yadkin VFW Building in Hamp tonville. Jay Farabee won the C.B. Hauser Scholarship Golf Tourna ment. which kicked off the opening activities. Howard Duke came in first in the first flight, and Millard Hauser was fvrst in the second flight. Farabee was closets to the 4th pin, and Girlie McNeal was closest to the 16th pin. During the picnic at Tangle wood, activities included athletic events, a business meeting and food. Jannis Floyd was elected family president. The 1994 reunion will be held next year on July 22-24 in Cleveland, Ohio. Raphael Hauser, the retiring family president, presided over the business meeting. Following Sunday's worship, where Michael Bell was the speaker, the reunion ended with the Dixie Russell Moore Fellowship Luncheon, with Mertine Moore Brockenberry presiding. Activities included a memorial service, recog nitions, food and fellowship. The oldest descendant in atten dance was Harold Hauser of Yad kinville. The youngest descendant was Louis Bell of Fayetteville. Yeulondia Jackson of Sunny Valley, Calif, was the descendant traveling the fartherest to attend the reunion. Shirlene and Cassius Mitchelle of Manheim, Germany, friends of the family, traveled the farthest to attend the reunion. The D. M. Hauser family had the largest number of siblings pre sent.
