press luncheon.
The Aggies received 130

points and the other first place vote.
Florida A&M was a close third
with 88 points. Rounding out the
order of finish was Howard with 66
points, Delaware State, 56 points;

information directors poll, S.C.
State was picked ahead of N.C.
The 1993 MEAC football pre
season prediction, according to
seven MEAC head coaches and

S.C. State will take the winning

The last, regular season
game of Late Night Basketball at
14th Street was played on Aug.
2, between 11th Street and the
Big Boys.
The Big Boys had to beat
11th Street by nine points in
order to win the regular season
crown. But 11th Street won the
crown by winning, 79-65. 4
Julis Minor led the team
with 15 points. Curtis Coleman
led the Big Boys, hitting 20.
The tournament started with
11th Street and the Big Boys
getting a bye, State Farm vs
North Boys, and the Tarheels
facing Nubian.
The North Boys defeated
State Farm in a close game of
74-73, with Barry Washington
scoring 29 points and Donnie
Petree,20.
Tim Welborn hit 22 points
for State Farm, with Greg Evans
scoring 16.
In the second game, the
Tarheels lost to Nubian, 2-0, in a ,
forfeit

Hanes Hosiery's 10- to 12
year-old league wrapped up their
regular baseball season undefeat
ed, when Matt Moore singled in
the bottom of the sixth inning to
knock in the tie run. Moore then
scored on a Boy's Club catchers
overthrow, to lead the Hosiery
over the Boy's Club 5-4.
Moore, James Wright and
Tony Surles led the Hosiery in
batting, while Chris Black well
pitched three innings of score
less ball for the win.
The Boy's Club was led by
Shell, I$iah, Weaks, Searly and
Hood.
The Boy's Club is coached
by James Blackburn. The
Hosiery is coached by Art
Blevins and Vincent Brown.
