This small idea has developed into a grand "Positive Attitude" community group for boys and girls, ages 6 to 15 years old. Although meetings are scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday, this 12-member organization goes beyond excess discussion and con centrates on taking action. Based on their dedication, the youths are proud to be part of such a group. "It was a good thing to join, because it keeps you out of the streets and stops you from doing bad things,** said Terry Perry, an active member. Thus far, the children have assisted in the grand opening of the shop by dressing as clowns, deliv ered brochures about their program to surrounding neighbors and had a car wash as a fund-raiser. Now they are planning a din ner, where they will provide the groceries and the cooking. In preparation for the upcoming school year, the organization plans to have a reading club, weekly spelling bees, poetry readings and a Mr. C's community group during a meeting ^ program similar to a homework hot- back- to- school dance, train rifles line, using retired teachers. and fishing trips.
