about the,- Morgan Decision;
The journey developed from
the experiences of Irene Mofgan
(now Irene Morgan Kirkaidy), who
was arrested in 1944 while traveling
by Greyhound bus from Norfolk,
Va. to Baltimore, Md. when she
refused to ride in the rear of the bus.
Morgan was convicted of violating
Virginia's Jim Crow laws in the
local, district and appellate courts of
Virginia. But in 1946 the United
States Supreme Court ruled in her
favor, saying that segregation on
public vehicles could not apply to
interstate passengers or to motor
vehicles within public traffic.
Hauser became involved in the
group's plans at an executive com
mittee meeting of the Winston
Salem chapter of the NAACP. Joe
Felmet, who participated in the
journey, urged Hauser, who had

Let's face it, you wouldn't exactly be chuckling if you had just
spent thousands of dollars more on another car and
discovered that the Lexus LS has retained more of its original
value than any other car in its class.* Nor would you be terribly
amused to find it's priced so incredibly low.
On the other hand, if you rest drive a 1993 LS today, you could
find yourself laughing all the way to the office, the country and
eventually the bank.
