Community AKAs Give Away Baby Clothes at Boutique On Saturday, several mothers got up early to shop at the second annual Ivy Baby Boutique at Ivy Arms Apartment clubhouse. The Ivy Baby Boutique is a unique ser vice project sponsored by the Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. that offers free baby and children items to mothers in the community. Shoppers selected many jtems ranging from maternity clothes to cribs, car seats, shoes and winter coats. . The items were solicited from the community by the sorore of Phi Omega Chapter. New and previously owned clothing filled the tables and racks of the clubhouse. Sorors of the chapter consuUed the mothers for clothing selection and childcare tips. In addition to community con tributions, several companies con tributed to the project's success, including Krispy Kreme, Healthtex Corp. and Spencers Inc. Mothers were invited by ser vice organizations such as Hand to Hand. WIC, Independence High School and local day-care facilities. Several mothers expressed sin cere gratitude for the useful items received. The entire __ da-v? Second Anniversary to Be Held The prison jninistry choir of Goler Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church will celebrate its second anniversary this Sunday at 5 p.m. The anniversary will be dedi cated to the prodigals community of Winston-Sa^em. The church is located at 630 Patterson Ave. All proceeds from the program will be donated'to assist the needy. The Rev. Seth O.
