Sports Ideas & Opinions
Do you think the JV football and basketball teams should have a
conference tournament at the end of the season ? Why or why not?
Aaron Cranford
Parkland High School, varsity
"Yes, because when I was a
JV we went 10-0. We were num
ber one in our conference, and the
JV is only one step away from var
sity. The tournaments will show
what the younger ones are able to
do."

"Yes. I think that the JV
should have a conference tourna
ment. They do great during the
regular season, like a 7-3 record
that we did last year. It shows that
they have matured enough to play
in a tournament like varsity."

Brian Mack
Parkland High School, varsity
"Yes, so if they do well they
should be rewarded with a chance
to see who's the best, not only in
the city but in the state. If they
would have had it last year I think
we would have won it."

Rotimi Ariyo
Parkland High School, varsity
"Yes, because they should get
the JV ready mentally and physi
cally so they're already disciplined.
When they come up to varsity
they'll be ready to take on the chal
lenge.''
