Hair Explosion '93 to be Held at WSSU Michelle Boyd The Winston-Salem Beauti cians #2 will be sponsoring a Hair Explosion '93, at the Anderson Center Auditorium on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Winston-Salem State Uni versity. Hair Explosion '93 will showcase hairstyles from the 50s to the 90s, and hair fashions for all ages and occasions. The featured model will be Michelle Boyd and Salidine El. Boyd has modeled for Greensboro News and Record for three years. She is a member of the B Dazzling Models. She is a member of the Carver Alumni Choir, assist and directress of the Voices of Isis, sec retary of the Patterson Avenue com munity club, a member of the Polly Anna Social club, and recordress of Sethos Court #105. Whitmire Retires In honor of her retirement from the Winston-Salem Housing i . mmmmm Mildred Whitmire Authority on August 1, 1993, Mil dred M. Whitmire was recently hon ored with a buffet style dinner by her children at Neal's lounge on Saturday, November 6, 1*993. The tribute to Ms. Whitmire included a program that consisted of fellow co-workers and her children.
