Kay Walser then introduced and presented the nineteen contes tants each representing there church and an African country. The pro gram continued as two students from the N.C. School of Arts offered energetic one-women narra tions. The Kwanzaa Ensemble of Bethlehem AME Zion Church sang Christmas Carols. Pauline Jackson reflected on the Kwanzaa Celebration after which the Rev. Seth O. Lartey. pas tor of Goler Memorial AME Zion Church, sang "To God be the Glory." The Seven Principles of Kwan ~zaa~was~?xptained and the candle lighters lit the seven candles repre senting; UNITY (Franklin Stove): Self-Determination (Josephine McCall); Collective Work and Responsibility (Burlia Bailey); Cooperative Economic (Belinda Harris), Purpose (Donice Gaskins); Creative (Marie Burney); Faith (Viable Ross).
