Summers and con gregation of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Summers is a native of Win ston-Salem and was educated in the public schools. He completed his undergraduate work at Winston Salem State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He further studied at Hood Theological Seminary in Degree at Southeastern Baptist The ological Seminary in Wake Forest He has also furthered his studies at Baptist Hospital in the Clinical Pas toral Education and in the program of Parish Base with emphasis on Conflict Management.
