' * X. - / " Alzheimer's Association Receives Grant The Piedmont Triad NC Chap ter of the Alzheimer's Association announces that it has received from the John Wesley and Anna Hodgen Hanes Foundation a grant of $M)(X)~ to help support its 1994-95 Care givqr Education and Training Pro gram. This project involves the cre ation and introduction (of several new dementia education programs and is aimed at training for family members and caregivers, support ^ group leaders, clergyT nursing and domiciliary home Staffs, respite care workers and law enforcement offi cers. ? The Chapter also received grants of 55000 each from the Mar ion Stedman Covington Foundation and the Foundation of Greater ? > - v. Greensboro to support this program. ' ' Students keceive Scholarship Recently, the Upward Bound Scholarship Committee, which is a part of the UpwanJ Bound Commu nity Advisor)' Board announced the names of the following two students who were awarded the 1994 Upward Bound Scholarship of $500. . Tekila Myers, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Armstrong is a 1994 graduate of Carver- High School. She has been an Upward Bound participant for three years and will he attending the University of North Carolina-Char lotte this fall. Debra Height, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Height is a 1994 graduate of Mt. Tabor High School. She has been an Upward Bound participant for four years and will be attending the Uni versity of North Carol ina-Chapel Hill this fall.
