Larry L. Mitchell of 24 years
and is the mother of three chil

Miller Appoints First Female Plant Manager
Miller Brewing Company
announced that Patricia Henry
has been appointed plant man
ager at its Eden, NC brewery.
Henry, who has more than 18
years of experience with the
company, is the first female to be
selected for that lead manage
ment position at Miller or any
other major American brewery.
"Patricia has demonstrated
great knowledge of our industry
and true dedication to her job,"
said Virgis W. Colbert, Senior
Vice President of Operations. "I
am proud that she has become
the first female plant manager
for Miller Brewing Company."
"Miller Brewing Company

employees," added Colbert.
"Patricia is setting a precedent
for success that many others will
follow."
Henry started working for
Miller Brewing Company in
1977 and most previously held
the position of Brewmaster at the
Eden brewery. She has a bache
lor's degree from Bennett Col
lege in Greensboro, NC and
Patricia Henry
studied at Harvard University
and Siebel's Institute of Brewing
Technology. She has been recog
nized as a leader in the business
community by Ebony Magazine,
and been included in "Top 100
Black Business and Professional
Woman" by Dollars and Seiise
Magazine.
Henry resides in
Collinsville, Va., and has one
son and one daughter.

Dubose-Little Wins State Title for Achievement
Ann Dubose-Little, assistant
principal of Konnoak School,
was recently named the State
winner for outstanding achieve
ment in human relations for the
North Carolina Association of
Educators. She was presented
with a plaque and $200 at the
N.C.A.E. Awards Banquet
which was held in Raleigh.
Locally, she was presented
with a plaque by the Forsyth
Association of Classroom
Teachers' and a Certificate of
Recognition from Donny Lam
bert, Chairperson of the Win
ston-Salem/Forsyth County
Schools Board of Education.
Her personal efforts to
improve educational and social
conditions in the school and
community are numerous., Little
said she first got her start as a
community organizer with the
Experiment in Self Reliance as a
college student. She also worked
as a community organizer in
Durham for the U.O.C.I. (United

ences were the deciding factors
in her life. Little knew she was
born to serve humanity and
