Broachfflarnesses Some of June's Power from page 17 ^(faror of the ttrikitte added, "If wt had to, I'd have gone out on strike as wefl if it wh in our con tract." Asked about the lack of attendance in the majors in the Strike, Broach was tetas Salem as I think we should get/' he said. "We have one of the best teams in the league, although we should be winning more. "I also don't think a fan should have to pay for an auto graph," Broach stated. 'They come out to see us play and we should be willing to give some thing back in return." He does feel the pay in the minors should be more than it is, however. "With all we have to put up with, especially those long bus rides, I think we could get a little more money." But he was quick to point out, "Money isn't . an issue with me. I like to pltf baseball." Broach visited a local ele mentary school during the year and spoke with the children about little leagues. '*1 told them to stay in school and get good grades," he said. "And whitt le spoke with more white Wdi, frldt of black kids play baseball as much as any other sport," he said. ta*c< ttVSiOtOOM SAUCE 1 obkspoon butter ,1 cup sbced mushrooms 1 cup beef broth I l/l teaspoons cornstarch 1/4 teaspoon salt I J,^Siniysi'ct(1i<reCTlxl'on,0,,s *k bu?? ? ?*? -?t" 7" ZZ*? and onion.
