Deaths and Funerals Roofer Funeral Home CONNER Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Conner Sr., AKA Boo Boo, of 5505 Winona St., died March 12 at his home. He was born June 4, 1942, in Winston-Salem. He was a grad uate of Atkins High School, class of 1960. He attended Winston Salem State University and Forsyth Technical Community col lege. He was a member of United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Haywood L. Wil son Jr. Sunday school class, the Laymen's League, and the Men's Choir. He was a former member of Bivouac Lodge No. 503, PHA. Mr. Conner did volunteer work in the community by serving on the Child Care Advisory Board at the Winston Lake YMCA and Project Graduation. He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Theodore R. Conner Jr., of Little Rock, Ark., and Curtis R. Conner, of the home; two daughters, Karin M. Conner, of Winston-Salem, and Cheryl M. Conner, of the home; one grandchild, Michael M. Con ner, of the home; two brothers, Jimmy L. Conner Sr., and Richard D. Conner, both of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters, Nancy (Ransom) Brown and Janice Conner; one aunt, Irene Hall; a very special friend, Lillie M.J. Mickle; a devoted friend, Barbara Harriett; all of Winston-Salem; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held March 15 at United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. J.D. Ballard, pastor, officiating. Inhumation followed at Evergreen Cemetery. Hooper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. ENNIS Mr. Michael Antony Ennis, AKA Baby Boy, of 111 N. Spruce St., Apt. 2, died March 7 at his residence. He was born Oct. 7, 1958, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was educated in the public school system of New York and was a resident of Winston-Salem fro the past 20 years. He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter, Shawkita "Precious" Williams, of Winston-Salem; one son, Caleb Brandon Ennis, of Winston-Salem; his mother, Janice Ennis, of Winston Salem; one sister, Darleen Ennis, of King, N.C.; four brothers. Sugar (Cynthia) Ennis, Edward, and Tyrone Ennis, all of Win ston-Salem, and Darryl (Roslyn) Ennis, of Atlanta; one aunt, Emma Wilkes; two devoted cousins, Keevan and Vonny Wilkes; and a devoted friend, Donna Lewis, all of Winston-Salem. Funeral services were held March 13 at Hooper Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sheldon McCarter officiating. Inhumation followed at Evergreen Cemetery. Born Jan. 12, 1938, in South Carolina, she moved to Winston Salem at an early age. She is survived by one son, Leroy Miles, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two devoted friends, Nathan Littlejohn and Ruby Burrell, both of Winston-Salem; and a host of other loving friends.
