Kimberly Park Holiness Church to honor associate minister, Mother Bettye Hash SPECIAL TO THE CHRONICLE Proverbs 3:15 states, "...She is ijiore precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand: and in her left hand riches .nuL. honour Her ways are ways ofpleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her." There are no greater words to describe Minister Bettye Hash, associate minister and church mother of Kimberly Park Holiness Church. Because of her love, faithfulness and service to Christ. Kimberly Park <? will honor Hash in an apprecia tion service on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 4 p.m. This is also the day Hash will celebrate her 72nd ? .birthday. Under the teaching of the late Bishop Solomon Monroe Caesar, who pastored Kimberly Park for 47 years, she learned about the love of Christ. She gave her life to Christ in the basement of S.H. Kress depart ment store in the early 1960s. Bishopgaesar's motto was "It's nice to be nice." Anyone who has ever known Hash knows that this is her belief as well. From then until now she has remained a warrior for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was Bishop and Mrs. Caesar's personal driver as he carried the Word to New York, Ohio, Vir ginia and other areas. Hash also spread the good news of Christ to many churches, regardless of denomination or ethnic back ground. She was also blessed to travel to the Holy Lands in the '70s to spread the Word. Hash holds several offices in the Holiness Church of God. Among them are: mother of the N.C. area of the Northwestern District, president of Senior Choir 2, treasurer of the Holi ness Church of God Conven tion, treasurer of the Bishop S.M. Caesar Memorial Day Pro gram, vice president of the Dis trict Missionary Quarterly and Minister in the Holiness Church ? * * of God. Many words describe Hash: kind, quiet, loving, pure in heart, but most of all humble. She is loved and revered by many, but most of all her family, which consists of her late hus band, Robert Frank Hash: her son, Johnny E. Owens; her daughter. Phyllis, and husband. Willie Mosley; and grandson. Christian Parks; and many spir itual children who refer to her as mother. In these days of waps and confusion, hate and mistrust, it is good to know that there are still God's warriors such as Hash.
