Kids will count the number of hours that they read or are read to by an adult. After eight hours of reading, they win a prize bag. Adults and teens simply write down titles of books read and are then eligible for gift cards from Borders and other prizes. In addition to great prizes for reading, all of the Forsyth County Public Libraries have programs for the whole family! Best of all, every program is FREE The kids' band, Big Bang Boom, will be touring all of the libraries this summer. This parent-friendly band for kids plays classic kid tunes as well as original tunes. Get ready to rock! o Featured performers for the whole family come from the Museum of Anthropology, SciWorks, the NC Zoo, in addition to these terrific performers: Snakes Alive!, The Balloon Lady, Zelnik the African Storytellers, Birdman Dave and Ranger Rick. It all starts with the BIG KICK-OFF. This year's leme for kids is Catch the Reading Bug The whole family is invited to attepd any or all of the kick-offs at three locations on June 14th. We will be at Walkertown Library at 10:00 AM, Central Library at (2:00 PM and, finally, at Lewisville Library at 2:00 PM. We will have skits, games, music and tons of fun!
