Four North Carolina A&T
athletes were honored nationally
for their academic and athletic
earn first -team honors in his

Rush, Ewing's backcourt
mate the past two seasons, was a
second-team sports scholar
selection. He ended a superb
two-year career. He hit 193
career 3-pointers. third all-time
in school history. He was a two
time All-MEAC performer and
owns school records in career
free throw percentage (.855), 3
pointers made in a season (115)
and 3 pointer* made in a game
(10). In the classroom. he was
just as efficient He earned a
< 61 GPA in the fall of 07 and
he graduated in 2008 with a
cumulative 3.38.
On the football side. Green
took second-team honors. Like
the other three selections.
Green's eligibility as an Aggie
has ended Green compiled a 4.0
GPA during the fall semester
and has a cumulative GPA of
3.39. He is a electrical technolo
gy major. On the field, he was a
four-year starter for the Aggies
at fullback. He helped pave the
way for two different backs dur
ing his tenure to rush for more
than 8S0 yards in a season.
Green also scored five career
touchdowns.
Hemphill was a third-team
selection. He made 90 career
tackles with his best season
coming in 2006 when he made
55 tackles, which ranked him
fourth on the team. He also
made four tackles behind the
line of scrimmage that season.
Hemphill, a journalism and
mass communications major,
has a cumulative GPA of 3.20
and had a fall semester GPA of

"Right now, we're looking
to have those contest during
the semifinal round," LaRue
said. "It will definitely take
place during the tournament.
It should be good a lot of fun.
The games should be fun to
watch. I know they will be
very competitive. It's a good,
family atmosphere during the
games. It's something for the
whole family to come out and
enjoy. I'm looking forward to
everything getting started."

Coleman

will be his hitting. He's an
excellent contact hitter. He hit
it very well into the alley. I
think he will make an imme
diate impact for Dr. White's
staff."
Coleman is already think
ing Of ways he might be able
to help his new team.
"I'm going to bring a good
glove and bat to the table for
Central." Coleman said. I'm
going to try to produce in any
way that I can. If I'm not
playing that much then I will
encourage my teammates, and
get better in practice."
Signing to play baseball
for North Carolina Central is
special to Coleman for more
reasons than one. Both of his
parents are graduates of
NCCU.
"I'm happy for him and his
family," Palmer said. "He's
getting a chance to go to a
school that both, his mother
and father, graduated from.
Plus, Central recently made
the jump to Division I. So it
should be an exciting time for
him."
Note: The North Carolina
Central baseball team finished
with a record of 6-30 last sea
son. The Eagles are only los
ing one senior, Mike

SR 4139 (INDUSTRIAL PARK DRIVE) TO NC 150
(NORTH MAIN STREET) AND CONVERTING A GRADE
SEPARATION TO AN INTERCHANGE AT 1-40 BUSINESS
TIP Project U-2800/U-4734 Guilford & Forsyth Counties
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will
hold the above Citizens Information Workshop on June 17, 2008
between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Caf6 located
on the Dudley Beauty College Campus, 900-D East Mountain
Street, Kernersville.
NCDOT representatives will be available in an informal setting to
provide information, answer questions and receive comments
regarding this pfbject. Attend at your convenience during the
*? above stated hours. Please note there will be no formal presenta
tion.
NCDOT, under TIP Project U-2800. proposes to widen SR 2601
(Macy Grove Road) to a multi-lane roadway from SR 4139
(Industrial Park Drive) to SR 1005 (Old US 421/East Mountain
Street). A grade separation at 1-40 Business will be converted to an
interchange as part of this project with a portion constructed on new
location. Under TIP Project U-4734, SR 2601 (Macy Grove Road)
will be extended from SR 1005 (Old US 421/East Mountain Stteet)
to NC 150 (North Main Street) as a multi-lane roadway partially on
new location.

doctor or dentist. We accept applications for new patients on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 1:30-4:30 PM. We
suggest you pick up a brochure about our requirements to pre
pare for the interview. Applications are taken on "first come, first
served" basis. We accept only 40 applications per week.

? We can't handle emergencies..
? We qan not accept patients with Medicaid, Medicare,
Veterans' Administration Benefits or private health
insurance.
Volunteers and our small staff provide medical and dental
