Off The Forsyth County Public Library will officially kick off^^^^a our summer reading program fl Saturday , June 13th from 10 am to 3 pm behind Central Library 1 2 Street. Kids, teens, and adults. 1 all are welcome and encouraged to take part in summer reading. Performinpgain this year will be the Library's ^ ultra-talented youth services staff who will do hilarious skits, sing-along songs and fascinating stories. Captain Jim, the pirate magician (www.captdinjimismdgic.com), will also be on hand offering up several incredible magical illusions, and Fernando's Puppet Show will provide entertainment for young and old alike. CHILDREN Kids who sign up will be given a reading log to track the number of hours they read from the kick-off through the conclusion of summer reading on July 25th. Once reading logs are completed, they can be redeemed for prizes at your local Forsyth County Public Library location. Children too young to read can still participate by counting the hours they tfre read to by an adult or older sibling. Once their log is complete they can also take them to their local library and redeem them for prizes. TEENf What an exciting program we have planned for teens this summer! Illustrator & author Ben Towle w and Poet Terri Erickson are scneauied to perform at locations throughout the Library system. And why not make one of our many great Library book clubs part of your Summer Reading plans. Looking for something with a edge to it, ladies? This free workshop will start with remarks from a speaker in the Human Resources field who will provide critical advice about successful resumes. Learn what employers are looking for in resumes and tips for how you can best be prepared to write a great resume and stand out from the crowd.
