Local women are expected to come together on Sun
day, Julv 18 at II a.m. for Antioch Christian Church's an
nual Woman's Day program.
The volunteer-driven, non-profit outreach event will
take place on the church campus, at 1432 Underwood Ave.
Woman's Day is designed to inspire the community of
women to stay empowered and to celebrate strength in
unit\ The event will be celebrated with women in w hite
and an all female choir. This year's speaker will once again
be District Court Judge Denise Hartsfield.
"It is important that women know that a part of God's
plan in their life 's to celebrate a sort of strong feminine
spirit that was carried out through such biblical figures as

Football Stadium lor
CommUNITY 2010 at 10 a.m.
The event is being billed as
a first of its kind event for this
area, mainly because the three
churches are only a few short
miles away from one another
and are all different denomina
tions. The purpose of the
event, say organizers, is to
assist with bringing the com
munity together while encour
aging one another to find the
common things that bind us,
rather than looking foT differ
ences that separate us.
CommUNITY 2010 prom

message of encouragement
presented by all three church
es. there w ill be performances
by a mass choir and a joint
band.
