A brief description of work in the project fol
lows:
I New heating, air conditioning, and ventila
tion for the existing Brooks Global classroom
wings. multipurpose room and kitchen,
offices, and Kindergarten classroom building.
2. New central plant systems including two 45
ton split system modular chillers w ith remote
Condensers. New boiler plant includes relo
cating a cast iron sectional boiler and
installing a new high efficiency boiler.
3. Install energy recovery ventilator units and
duct outside air to the classrooms.
4. Install new ducted fan coil unit above the
corridor ceiling for the general classrooms.
Install additional hanging units and vertical
units for the kindergarten building. Provide
floor mounted units for offices.
5. Provide anew 1)1 X' control system to oper
ate the new HVAC system .
6. Electrical work to he installed support the
new HVAC equipment.
7. Miscellaneous work includes new ceilings
where indicated, pipe and duct chases, and
brick and block work where packaged unit
ventilators are re mewed.
X. Demolition work includes removing exist
ing boilers, steam and condensate piping, and
packaged unit ventilators.
A mandatory prehid conference will be
held at the site at 3:00 PM. February 8th
2011. Attendees shall meet at the School. At
3:(X) PM everyone will go to the school
library IX) not come early as school is letting
out until this time. Attendance at this confer
ence is required for all potential bidders to
examine the existing conditions and to dis
cuss particular details of the project. Bids will
not be accepted from contractors that did not
attend this prebid conference.
A .Vr Bid Bond is required for this project.
Performance and Labor and Material
Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may
be w ithdrawn after the scheduled closing time
tor the receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.
