The Worship and Arts Ministry of Exodus
United Baptist Church, 2000 Wilbur St., will pres
ent its next Friday Night Glory event tomorrow
(Friday, April 20) at 7 p.m.
The celebration of praise is held every third
Friday at the church through Nov. 16. The worship
and arts series is designed to bring youth to Christ
through a program that features music, drama,
dance, step, mime. Christian poetry and rap.
The featured groups slated to perform tomor
row include the Glorified Stepper and the Victories
Steppers of Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian
Church, the Desiring Moore Poetry Project, the
Cathedral Refuge Church Dance Ministry, mime
artist Chris Goode of Disciples of Faith Full
Gospel Ministry, rapper Deacon Gregory Walker,
the Steps of Faith Dance Ministry, the Disciples of
Faith Full Praise Team and the Exodus United
Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
The worship and arts series is free and open to
the public. All youth ministries are invited and
encouraged to attend.

Willing Workers Fundraiser Tea Party on
Saturday, April 21 will feature Mama
Marvtastic - Annie Hamlin-Johnson. A
natural-born entertainer, Mrs. Hamlin
Johnson is the mother of the late Larry
Leon Hamlin, the founder of the N.C.
Black Repertory Co. and the National
Black Theatre Festival. Skits written by
Hamlin-Johnson will be performed at the
Tea, which will be held from 4-7 p.m. at
the church, 3640 New Walkertown Road.
Party attendees are asked to come dressed
to impress - in hats and gloves; ladies are
asked not to wear pants to the event,
which is also open to men and children.

is the son of
the late Rev.
Dr. Warren J.
and Mary E.
Napper. He
attended the

Salem Forsyth
Cornelius

Napper is married to Linda Scott

was 14-years-old and was baptized at
Emmanuel Baptist Church by his
uncle and pastor, the late Rev. Dr. Sir
Walter Sr.
Installation services for Rev.
Napper will be held on Sunday, April
22 at 4 p.m. Rev. Cornelius of New
Jerusalem will preach the installation
sermon and the Rev. Dr. Sir Walter
Mack Jr. of Union Baptist Church
and Rev. Charles Leak of Bethlehem
Baptist Church of Stoneville will
conduct the installation service.

Sons, dads invited to pancake worship service

Cherry St., will hold a Pancake Jamboree and Workshop
on Saturday, May 5 from 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Sunday School
Ministry of the church, and the theme is "Young Men
Growing Up In The Lord."
Local young men between the ages 12 - 18-years-old
are being invited to attend along with their dads, male
guardians or big brothers.
The event will feature two dynamic speakers:
Minister Jeremiah E. Shipp and Minister Brian Cager,
both of Winston-Salem.

region equivalent to a country.
North of the Dead Sea and
west of the Jordan River, the
region was avoided by devout

Assyrian conquest of Israel
