80th Birthday
Celebration
Mildred R. Griffin of
Winston-Salem celebrated her
80th birthday on May 13th.
Griffin is a retired educator
from the Winston
Salem/Forsyth County School
system in which she still
works as a mentor for first
year teachers. Along with
working, she also is extremely
active in the Rho Zeta Chapter
of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.,
WSSU Alumni Association,
National Council of Negro
Women and Phi Delta Kappa,
among other organizations.
Griffin
Morrison Gets Doctorate
On May 2, 2015,
Winston-Salem native
Khrystina A. Morrison
graduated with her
doctorate degree in
physical therapy from
Florida Agricultural
and Mechanical
University (FAMU) in
Tallahassee, Florida.
Morrison plans to fin
ish completion of her
master's degree in
rehabilitation counsel
ing from WSSU with
future plans to open a
comprehensive reha
bilitation center offer
ing various therapies
under one roof.
Morrison will sit for
the national licensure
exam in late July. Dr.
Morrison
iviomson is a current
member of the Florida Physical Therapy Association
(FPTA), American Physical Therapy Association
(APTA), Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and will con
tinue expansion into additional professional organiza
tions. Morrison is a member at Greater Cleveland
Avenue Christian Church. Morrison, DPT, is the daughter
of fellow Winston-Salem natives and WSSU alumni
Douise T. Jordan & Carl C. Morrison.
