Warren Dell Leggett's long, successful
career in finance at RJ. Reynolds
Tobacco Company (now Reynolds
American) made him a well-known figure in Winston-Salem, but
it was his big heart and selflessness that made him a community
treasure.
Leggett (and his wife, Lois) are longtime NBTF and N.C. Black Rep
volunteers and supporters. Their affiliation with the organizers goes
back decades.
A member of the Alpha Pi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha
Inc. and a longtime parishioner at United Metropolitan Missionary
Baptist Church, Leggett has also given his time (and money) to
organizations like the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club, the N.C.
Central University Alumni Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Established in 2002, the
Millennium Fund has raised
and invested more than
$50 million in projects and
efforts to stimulate economic
growth in Winston-Salem.
The Fund grew out of the
Winston-Salem Alliance, a nonprofit started by local corporate
bigwigs for job creation and economic development purposes.
Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines is president of the Winston-Salem
Alliance and an enthusiastic NBTF supporter. The Millennium Fund
is a longtime sponsor of the National Black Theatre Festival, which
benefits the economic climate by pumping tens of millions into the
local economy every two years.
Mayor Allen Joines poses with

mother of NBTF Founder Larry

dedication ceremony for her son.
