Question: What was your initial reaction when you
found out Donald Trump will be the next President of
the United States? Do you think anything he will do
while in office will impact on you personally?

"I was surprised and sad for this country and its fu
ture. Hopefully, having Trump in office will make
black people want to get off their butts and not be
lazy. We have to stop thinking everything is going to
be handed to us. I feel like he's going to help us get
to work and try to do something for ourselves."

I really didnl expect him
to become president
with no political experi
ence at all. When it
comes to education, I
think he will have a big
impact on our way of
life. Things are going to
change, and most col
leges are going to take
a huge hit."

"I wasn't surprised because voting is something
you do in secret and you aren't judged for the de
cisions you make. I do believe my healthcare will
be impacted. Hopefully my tuition isn't impacted,
but we just don't know."

gardless, so I wasn't re
ally surprised. I'm not
sure yet if it will affect
me personally because
as we already see, he
has no problem going
back on his word. We'll
just have to wait and
see."

When you look back at
the Civil Rights Move
ment and the Jim Crow
era, it feels like we're
headed down that same
path. I really fear for the
immediate state of this
country. I don't know if it
will impact me person
ally, but the fact that we
are going from a black
man in the White House
to a racist like Donald
Trump, it will defiantly
have some affect on me
as a young black man."

actually won. I think it

scared he will take
away Obamacare and I
will be back at square

had tears in my eyes. It definately will impact me as
an African-American female. It's already hard
enough for black people, and with Trump in office it
will only get harder. We have to come up with
Coya Perry something to do collectively."

and move on. I don't think it will have any impact on me personally, but I
think it will change some things in the community."

guess it's time to move
to Canada. It's hard to

have any affect, but
based off the debates
and his campaign, we
could be in for some
drastic changes, but
only time will tell."
