Concord Female College.
It is due to the foonders of this Institution
and to all who have contributed to its erection,
that they should be informed of its condition
and prospects;- This cannot be done more de
finitely, fully or authoritatively than by sub
mitting resolutions recently adopted by the
Board of Trustees, and read by their President
on Commencement Day, before the large au
dience assembled in the Presbyterian church
Sesolved, That the Board of Trustees feel it
to be a high privilege as well as a grateful and
pleasant duty to express their entire satisfac
tion with the late examination of the pupils of
Concord Female College.
They alto, express their cordial approba
tion of the energy, success and prosperity with
which the Institution has been conducted un
der the peculiar and frying circumstances of
our country. .
The Trustees trowlrf farther cheerfully re
commend the Institution, with its able and ex-
Ju,f I and eood society. It is the place for a college
for central and estern North Carolina, and
it ia our set purpose to make it equal to the
-fuemaiids of this portion of the State, both as

tional facility, from the primary department to a mil
college conrse, upon more favorable terms perhaps,
than any academy or collepe in the State.
