Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lee took a tX> down to Wilmington today to see Mrs. Lee’s brother and his family, They went over to Sunset Park Baptist church for services and they report that the church was simply beautiful and carries the name of being the most beau tiful church in Wilmington. Jane Gainey and Mr. and Mrs Sam Rickman were visiting Jane’s and Mrs. Rickman’s mother, Mrs. Ljtfa Gainey for the Thanksgiving Holidays and Jane tells us she has 32 pupils in her first grade and that so far she likes teaching school very much. Jane, you tell those kids that it is very proper to say “youall’’ even up there in Mary land! Mr- and Mrs. Luthex Core want visiting the sick this afternoon and say that Miss Deiphia Strickland was getting along very well and alsp his sister Mrs. Ellen Core. Good news like this is always wel comed. ' The Young Married Women’s class (even if some have been married for quiet a long while now) ‘ Were very fortunate to have Miss Evelyn Snider from Cor\way, S. C. here to day and teach their Sunday School Class. Mk. and Mrs. Bob Gorrell came down last week to visit Mrs. Viola Stricklaqd and if anyone doesn't recogpize the name Gorrel, wall its none other than Jessie Bess* and per husband. Mrs. Archie Lee Sr. as we all know hasn't been well lately but we were glad to learn that she has been feeling better the post week and hopes she will continue to do so. Mrs. Gilbert, whats this we hear about a trip to Florida? So you are going to St. Petersburg with Mr. and Mr*- Leslie Campbell to a Conferences of Southern Colleges! How nice and how lucky for you. Just have a big time and bring us back a souvnier. The Y. W. A. met Sunday after noon at 2:00 P. M. with Misses Lillian and Loretta Rowland. The meeting was called -to order by the Vice-President in the absence of the president. The Business was discussed which included plans for ChirsUnas and also for the Study course and The Week Os Prayer. The program was then presented by Joyce Lee on Missions and Y. W. A. Book Club. The meeting was dismissed to meet again on Mon day night after the second Sunday in December with Misses Mary Jackson and Vivian Tart at their apartment on S. Wilson Avenue in Dunn. Since Troy ha* become a highway patrolmen and they have moved to Oxford we bet that Jerry has to get him an other girl friehd now? Both Intermediate and Jr. G. A. met this morning and so did the R. A. and the Sun Beams so that takes in where the children were during the last phase of Sunday School this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Eli Seawell and Miss Louise Wester of Durham were dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Glover last Wednesday. Miss Lola Glover and Miss Daffney Clark of Raleigh and Tar boro, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Glover of Dunn spent Thanksgiving day with Mr. and Mrs. Q. O. Glover. We bear that Ervin, and Gerldlne found they hid to much turkey for Just 2 and so they shared it Wouldn’t mind ed sampling it myself.
