The bride was given in marriage bto her father. Her gown was an priglnal model of white satin, made with long pointed sleeves, yoke of Illusion outlined by Scalloped ber tha, tiny buttons to the waist and bouffant skirt ending with a train. Her finger-tip length veil was of French Illusion falling from ft> cor onet trimmed with pearls. She' car ried a bouquet composed of bride’s roses, stephanotis, tily-of-the-valley fend centered with a purple throat ed orchid. *lgHi Mrs, Mason was attended by her sister, Mis Margaret Green, Stu dent at the Woman’s College in Greensboro, as maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Mrs. William Dod son of DUrham, formerly Miss Ren tltea Woodworth of Erwin, and Miss Betty CaUSey of the Woman's Col lege and Randleman. All attendants wore identical dresses of jade green taffeta with net stoles and bouffant skirts. They Carried arm bouquets of American Btouty roses tied with long ribbons oJHtmerican Beauty satin and wore roses in their hair. Mr. Mason had as his best man his brother, Carl Mason of Wil mington. Ushers were Dan Hugh Green, Jr., brother of the bride and Alvis Black of Lillington: Paul Maultsby of Ft. Bragg and William Dodson of Durham. Mrs. Green wore for her daugh ter’s wedding an aqua bead-trim med gown and an orchid corsage. The groom’s mother wore a beige torn with orchid accessories and orchid corsage. After the ceremony the bridal couple greeted the guests in the chuich vestibule and later left for m wedding trip, after which they WUI be at home In Wilmington. For her going away dress the bride changed into a suit of navy blue, white and wine accessories andtthe orchid from her bouquet fes aVorsage. lot Mason attended school at AnpMl College and is a 1951 graduate of the Woman's College In Greensboro, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree In social science. Mr. Mason also attended school at Campbell College and graduated from Wake Forest College in June. He is teaching and coaching in the Lake Forest Junior High School In Wilmington. Johnson and Mrs. Alton Johnson entertained th Ma son-Oreen wedding pferty and out of-town guests at a cake cutting after the rehearsal on Wednesday night at the home of the latter. The living room was Beautifully decorated in holly, berries and greenery, carrying out the Christ mas motif; while the bridal colors of green and white were used In the den and the dining room. The dining table was covered with a handmade linen cloth with lace in sets and centered with a three tiered wedding cake, flanked by white flowers and candles. After the first slice was cut by the bride and gtoom elect Mrt. Hugh Green, mother of Uie bride, served the cake. Mrs. M. TT Mason of Wilmington, mother of the Broom poured punch. Decorated sandwich es, nuts and coffee were served by Miss Betty Caufeey of Rfendie man, Mrs. BUI Dodson of Durham and Misses Margaret and Mfery Green, sisters of the bride. S. tarfs A gay Christmas party was held at the home of Mrs. William Tart when the Thursday Afternoon I Bridge Club met there yesterday I,for aft afternoon of bridge and en tertalhment. The Tfert home was beautifully decorated for the party carrying out the Christmas note in the dec orations. The Uvlng room mantle Wfes centered with greenery, silver berries and Christmas balls flank ed with red candles. A Christmas tree made a colorful scene in the corner of the living room. The auxiliary tables for the des sert bridge were centered with light ed red candles circled with green ery- A delicious dessert of lime sherbet topped with whipped cream ana cherries was served with oook ies, salted nuts and coffee. Dur ing play hard candies were passed. Mrs. Glenn Riddle, a guest for the party was remembered with earrings. Mrs. Ed Galloway com piled the highest score for the afternoon and received a set 1 of ash trays from the hostess. Entire Alia Club Meets At Home Os Mrs. Sass Mrs. Nathan Bass was hostess to members of the Entre Alia Bridge Club and guests of the club at a gay Chlstmas party iast night at the Baa* home on N. Ellis Ave. The holiday motif was carried out In the gay decorations for the party, in the living room the mahtle was banked with candles and a lovely Christmas scene entwined with running cedar. On the piano a scene was used with lights reflecting on the scene makinfe a colorful display. A side table held an attractive arrange ment of holly. Red candles nestled in greenry were centered on the card tables for ,the party plates which were served.
