Wednesday afternoon, January 9, 1952 Children To Make Train Trip From Dunn To Benson The children o t Mrs. W. T. Sor rell’s Kindergarten at Benson are planning a train trip tor com ing Friday. Alter kindergarten the parents will take the children in cars to Dunn to the railroad station where they will learn how a station is operated and the departures and arrivals of trains. The children then will board the train for Ben son and take their trip home in style. Those kindergarten students making the trip will be Tommy Rogers, Suzanne Benton. Van Parker, Charles Johnson, Mike Yarborough, Jean Robinson, Bobbie Woodal, David Wood. Bridge Club The Friday Evening Bridge Club 1 and guests of the club were grac iously entertained last Friday even ing when they met at the home i of Mrs Gordon Reddish for an 1 evening of bridge. SUFFERS HEART ATTACK Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Leamon of Hollywood, Florida, came to Dunn Saturday to visit Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Hyman, Jr. Shortly after arriv ing Mr. Leamon suffered a serious heart attack and is* now a patient in the Dunn Hospital. SPENDING WINTER Miss Minnie Stewart is spending the winter in Dunn with her sis ter, Mrs. A. B. Naylor. She has had considerable experience in caring for mothers and babies in the hqme, it is reported. HAS VISITORS Mrs. M. F. Hodges had as her guests over the holidays Mr. and Mrs. A. C. O Dr. Cuthrell Guest Os Circle No. Three At Their Meeting Circle No. Three of the Hood Memorial Christian Church met at the home of Mrs. Henry West Monday night for their regular monthly meeting at 8:00. Beautiful arrangements of Spring flowers and colorful berries were used throughout the West home for the occasion. The meeting was called to order by the circle leader. Mrs., Vernon Bass. Mrs. Elwood Britt gave the devotional and Miss Mabel Lynch spoke on “Missions To America" which the group has been study ing this year and was completed at the meeting in the final study course by Mias Lynch. Mrs. George Cuthrell, secretary of the circle road the minutes of the last meeting and plans were made by the group to attend the Christian Womens Fellowship meeting on January 21. During an enjoyable social hour | held the hostess served delectable refreshments of chicken salad j sandwiches, salted nuts, chiffon j cake and soft drinks. I A guest for the evening was. Mrs. Culbreth Is Honored At Stork Shower Mrs. Stanley Culbreth was hon ored at a stork shower Saturday night at 7:30 o’clock, by her mother, Mrs. R. R. Penny on Jonesboro Road. The honoree was presented with a corsage mafle of pins and rattler tied 'with pink ribbon. After several games of Bingo were enjoyed, the hostess served 'cakes, candies, nuts and drinks.
