D„ Bishop of Covington, Kentucky head an impressive list of speakers for the many sessions planned for the Seventh Regional Congress of the Confraternity of Christian Doc trine scheduled for Durham, May 2. 3,4, 1952. In addition to all in vited members of the Catholic Hierarchy of Southeastern United States, the Congress will have many lay speakers of national prominence on the program. Bishop Brady and Bishop Mulloy both serve as Epis copal Officers of the National Cen ter of the Confraternity of Christ ian Doctrine, Washington, D. C. The theme of the Congress "That They May Know That Thou Hfcst Sent Me” will prevail in all of the sessions of clergy, religious and members of the laity. It will remind everyone present of tl)e extensive work connected with the Confrater nity of Christian Doctrine program The ’CCD is the official agency of the Church charged with bringing religious knowledge to all who do not receive it in school. There are special activities in the CCD pro gram for pre-school children, those in school and for adults. It is the atm of the CCD to select and train the laity to advance the work of religious instruction in all age brackets. OF INTEREST TO ALL The sessions of the Congress have been organized along the lines thst' will be of interest to clergy, religious, laity and the youth. The fissions of Friday, May 2 to be held at the Congress headquarters. Washington Duke Hotel, Durham. N. C. will' highlight the General Program of the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine and also the Role of the Laity in the Confra ternity Program. A special session on Friday afternoon will be closed to the priests to hear the role of the priest in the CCD program.
