These emotions will be taught through the show's human hosts, the Muppets and animated films. Etienne Delessert, the Swiss illustrator who is best known for his work with the famous child psychologist, Jean Piaget, has created ten animated films that teach; among other things, affective skills. The show also hopes to make children sensitive to feelings and emotions in others as well as in them selves. Other curriculum changes in the series, which this year won its sixth Emmy Award, include more Spanish sight words and the teaching of more complicated geometric forms including hexagons, octagons and trapezoids. New Muppets on the show include Biff, a boisterous chap, and his friend Sully, a 'soft-spoken “nice guy," both construction workers who find simplicity a great help in learning. ^ ' *■ .
