CLASS REUNION TEA HELD--OId Aquaintances were renewed and nostalgic thougnts ot those ‘‘good ole high school days” were remembered as the class of 1963 of West Charlotte High School reunited Sunday at a Tea at Georgia's Restaurant. Nearly 200 former “Lions" werepresent to make plans for a big reunion scheduled to be held December 22, 1973 at the Sheraton Downtown. Hosts for the tea were Jerry Mc Cullough and William Hamlin. SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS WEEK-The Deacon Board of First United Presbyterian Church invites both contented * and wayward souls to join them as they take time to re examine their lives in pursuit of a - new “prescription for life" during the week of November 14 through November 18 designated as spiritual tmphasis W'eek. The Church has invited as its guests speaker for the week, the Rev. Robert T. Newbold, associate director of Administrative Services of the United Presbyterian Church, USA. Rev. Newbold will speak :h night beginning Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Topics include: “Try a Little Hope,” "Try A Little Love.” “Try a Little Forgiveness” and “Try a Little Ten derness.” On Saturday at 5 p.m. a banquet will be held at the Excelsior Club . Tickets for the banquet are $3 and can be purchased at the Church. The culminating activity will be the Homecoming service followed by a dinner at Church on Sunday. November 18. Houston Sr. and Mrs. Mary Helen Byers will chatter on for months about the fabulous time they had while relaxing in Acapulco Mexico. They flew to Acapulco via Eastern Airlines and upon arriving were met by a bus awaiting to carry them to Acapulca Royal Hotel.
