Eugene Randall, pastor of the church, officiating. 21 Schools On Safety Honor Roll Twenty-one Charlotte - Mecklenburg Schools are included on the latest National School Safety Honor Roll sponsored by the National Safety Council. Any school may participate in tiie Honor Roll p mg mm.To be eligible the first year, the National Safety Council recommends that schools outline safety policies and initiate student accident reporting systems. Through evaluation checklists and other means, each'school has guidelines to follow. Robinson-U^itherspoon Vows Spoken Saturday By JOANNE MOORE Pott Feature Writer “I do take thee for the rest of my life” were words spoken so sweetly last Sunday by Shirley Ann Robinson and Carl Ed ward Witherspoon as they p.m. ceremony at the Mowing , Glade AME Zion Church. Six lovely bridesmaids attired in gold gowns ac companied the bride to the altar and the maid of honor, Marilyn Reid wearing a stunning gold gown stood with the bride as she said her vows. The bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. WJ. Robinson is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University. She is employed by the Charlotte - Mecklenburg School System. A native , of Winston-Salem and the son of Mrs. Ruth Witherspoon, the groom at tended Winston-Salem State University, where he met the bride. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and is currently enrolled at the University of North Carolina ,at Charlotte. The couple greeted and received friends and relatives at a reception held at the Reception Room of the American Bank and Trust Company. Following the reception the newly weds were off to a wedding trip to Atlanta, Ga. and Florida. When they return to Charlotte the couple will reside at 856-B McAlway Rd. MRS.
